ALESSIA SUSHKO is an actress, model and human rights activist. Her acting creds include HBO’s GIRLS, The Mysteries of Laura, Gossip Girl, Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll, House of Cards, Showtime's Billions and multiple tv and theater roles. She started turning the cogs of culture at an early age as a dancer and ballerina back in Belarus. Now based in The Big Apple, she splits her time acting, modelling and standing up for girls who have been victims of sexual abuse and human trafficking. Her artistic influences include Quentin Tarantino, Wes Anderson, Woody Allen, Alejandro Inarritu, Albert Camus, Friedrich Nietzsche, and Charles Bukowski. Alessia has a special place in her heart for Tennessee Williams (“Orpheus of the American stage”), who was brilliant and prolific, and breathed life and passion into such memorable characters as Blanche DuBois and Stanley Kowalski in his critically acclaimed plays, poems and short stories. When she’s not reading screenplays and rehearsing lines, Alessia is at the gym pumping iron or shooting campaigns and editorials for the likes of Redken, Aveeno, Nicole Miller, etc. She studied advertising and marketing at FIT, and economics and finance at Belarusian State University. She is an avid reader, writer and equestrian, and her biggest mentors are her mom and sister.
